I don’t think it’s about the size of where they came from but the fact that they were both made side by side and destined for the same country and that country being a rather vast one. Both are back together some 22 years later.
I mean after 22 years they could of been on opposite sides of the continent, one parted out for spares after a car accident, one possibly abandoned in the middle of nowhere, one sold to somewhere else in the world, etc...
But that they ended up together.

No, true. But it doesn't mention Britain as being the British Continent nor that Britain is a continent. Just that they were built on "another continent thousands of miles away" . The British Isles being on the European continent is another continent from the North American continent.
